ZorroWith a cycling buddy, I drove 900km to the small town of Glen Innes for a gravel ride in the Northern Tablelands in a region of northern New South Wales called New England. I've never been here before and, to be honest, it's a lot like the Southern Highlands which is much closer. It's also very British with lots of Scottish and Welsh references. The ride was organised by Goodness Gravel and was a much smaller and more personal ride than the Classic series. We completed the 75km ride in good time and good spirits, despite some strong and relentless headwinds. ZorroThis weekend I rode from Canberra to the coast - 182km with 2472m of climbing. I've done it in one go only once before but I am stronger and fitter than I was in 2022 and I found that I enjoyed the ride more this time.We took a slightly different route, though it had a similar ratio of dirt and tarmac (50/50).
