From October 8, Fraunhofer UMSICHT will be showcasing sustainable materials for industry in Düsseldorf – from biodegradable films to advanced polymers. Dr. Mona Duhme describes what visitors can expect at booth C05 in hall 7. She heads our institute's Circular and Bio-based Plastics department.
In Iceland, a waste management facility is using AI robots instead of humans to sort trash. The robots can identify recyclable materials with much greater accuracy.

The 'off-hook' switch on my Cisco CP-7841-3PCC phone stopped working yesterday. Kind of disappointing as this an expensive phone (~$240 CAN). The switch itself is a simple metal–carbon contact type.
