@OpenCloud eine Frage habe noch. Wird es auch eine #desktop-app für #linux geben?
#KDE #Plasma will become usable and enjoyable-to-use to absolute noobs long before Gnome becomes usable and enjoyable to power users.
For the former, the only thing in the way is time and effort (and priorities, which seem to be set well right now). For the latter, the culture in the Gnome community has to radically change.
Come at me, bro. ;)
(I love you, too!)
What's the best desktop app for multiple #fedi accounts? I've got this one and @Ursinewave and it'd be handy to see them both at the same time without having to fumble around on a phone.
Schnell, sicher, keine Werbung, kein Ausspionieren, keine aufgezwungene #KI #AI, kein aufgezwungenes Online-Konto.
Ach, und billiger ist es natürlich auch.
Longtime Verge readers might recall the unusual story of how the music video for a Janet Jackson song, “Rhythm Nation,” could cause certain #Windows #laptops to crash just by being around when it’s playing

Well, just use another OS... Don't hesitate to use #linux; there are many #desktop #envirinoment, just choose your #distro

Hey #plasmamobile users, what role is it playing in your life? Is it a on a secondary device? Are you daily driving it? Is it something you simply want to support in the hope it will one day be the only thing in your pocket? What distro are you using?
Warum kann ich ein #Bild von meinem #Desktop nicht #hochladen?
Is there an opensource email desktop client that is: headquaters and main maintainers are in EU, UK, Canada, Australia and other places where democracy still present?
supports openpgp (at least signing and signatures verification)
integrates well with Gnome
can connect to Gmail (mostly to keep locally emails archive after creating a new email address to be used instead and during a transition period).
The KDE team has created a wonderful Network for your Androids it's called Konnect (actually KDE Connect) and the things that it can do are so various that I'll just show you one of them in the included photographs
The ease with which I can control a music player that works on one Android from all my devices which run Konnect opens up possibilities which are just marvelous for a sound engineer like me
Une news positive parce qu'il y a pas de mal à se faire du bien.

My desk set up with its cursed monitor arrangement, from a few nights ago.
I'd like us all to take a moment to appreciate how effing cute the new @kde Dolphin icon is
I think I have finally configured my FreeBSD PC into a fully functional desktop. I have KDE desktop environment installed , I got Spotify-Qt working, I installed Linux Brave Browser to be able watch Netflix and play music on Tidal. I have OBS and its virtual camera working. I got discord working. I have got my firewall configured and running. Not sure what to do next.
Ideas please. Thanks.

It makes me sad that #KDE back in the day went with Windows-style app shortcuts (.kdelnk and .desktop files) instead of NeXTSTEP/macOS-style app bundles.
The latter are inherently portable, self-describing, potentially self-contained, and trivial to install or remove. In short: better in pretty much every way.
And because KDE set the precedent, all other #Linux #desktop environments (except #GNUstep) have followed suit.
I'm really getting annoyed by services removing functionalities from their websites in favor of their mobile apps. For your thing I log into once a month, I don't need an app on my phone! Not supporting a mobile website is bad, but now they're stripping features from the desktop website, as well.
Before choosing your Linux system, you must understang that rolling releases and fixed-point releases do not behave the same: https://wirekat.com/regular-release-vs-rolling-release-which-linux-distribution-model-is-better/
