Finland has its own rail gauge (almost the same as the Russian), but now with Finnish & Swedish NATO membership the scale seems to be tipping in favour of adding standard gauge rails to a few lines up in northern Finland starting at the connection to Sweden's railways.

Newest treat when travelling by #train in 🇮🇹: Regional trains have all doors closed except one and all pax need to board through this bottleneck, showing #Trenitalia staff their ticket upon entering. Ever missed the aiport-like "experience" of queueing up in front of a gate for regional (!) trains? Here you go.

Che pazzesco.

The same scene from the other side. Train attendants are overlooked by both Trenialia security staff and railway police officers, so a total of 6 pax keep an eye on boarding of a regional train. The train seems to be very long but only one door is open.
