When I reply in English to a thread that’s in another language (like German), Mastodon assigns my post the language of the thread, even though I’ve written in English and set English as my default.

This means other users (e.g. German speakers) won’t see the “Translate” option, because Mastodon thinks my post is already in their language.

Is there a way to force my posts to always be in English unless I manually change it?

Weiße Schrift auf schwarzem Hintergrund ist auf Dauer unangenehm (mir verschwimmen die Zeilen), ich hätte das gerne abgemildert auf grau oder sowas.

Very non tech person here, but I did look at autocorerct settings on my android phone and got lost right away.

I have made certain typos so often I almost only type the typo. 'Agani' and 'kwno' amd most 'ing' words, because I type too fast (laptop, mostly and phone)

Is there a way to have autocorrect replace these constant typos automatically? I think I once knew how to remove words from autocorrect...

After discovering that NetBIOS settings aren’t available in #intune #settings - and therefore require disablement by script (or GPO) I raised the query with #microsoft - adding the support natively in intune would allow us to use config refresh to ensure that this remains disabled.

In the interim, I have created a #script (+ Detection) to disable this, and will have to look into a custom #compliance #policy to ensure that this is disabled across the estate.

Why has my computer upon powering up demand (this alarm is startling) that I go into F1 and set the date and time? (I'm not a computer person); and, why doesn't the date and time stick once I set them? This only began on the last 2-3 startups.

Depending on your camera, you can #backup/#restore the settings to/from a memory card. e.g. on Nikon with "Save" and "Load" settings:
1. Load the settings from the card that has the saved set of your current settings.
2. Change the year in the copyright setting in the setup folder.
3. Save the settings back to to the card you just loaded the settings from.
4. Save the settings to all other memory cards you use with the camera.
