Mastodon nightly release has been published today. It's maybe time for us to release the #Fedilab version that fully supports quotes?

The privacy tab of #Fedilab might be more for advanced users. But let's introduce it.
These settings allow the use of alternative front-ends for most popular social Networks.
Let says you never want to visit a X or YT link. By enabling corresponding supports, the app will automatically transform links in your timeline so you will visit a front-end website instead of the original link.
Recently, we also gave more control to remove all tracking parameters in URL (Last option)

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We are somehow waiting for the next Mastodon release before publishing our release.
We don't want to create frustrations with a feature that is not yet available.

falls der Post extern geöffnet wird, kopiere am besten die jeweilige URL zur Umfrage ins Suchfeld, z.B. bei Mastodon.

Ich selbst habe zwar schon umfangreiche Erfahrung mit zahlreichen Fedi-Diensten, nutze diese aber bevorzugt und fast ausschließlich per Web App (meist über
Ferdium). Ich habe nur mit einigen wenigen Apps wie #Tusky #Fedilab #Racoon und #Aria Erfahrung, nutze diese aber auch nur sporadisch, um mal unterwegs reinzuschauen, ohne damit groß aktiv zu sein.
Anscheinend gibt es aber viele Menschen, die - auch wenn die jeweilige Web App auch im Mäusekino gut funktioniert - es bevorzugen, eine native App zu nutzen.
Die Umfrageergebnisse und Empfehlungen würde ich als Grundlage nutzen, um den Leuten auf dem Barcamp bei Bedarf eine für Sie passende App vorzuschlagen, damit sie einen positiven Einstieg haben.
...vielleicht kann der eine oder die andere aber darüber hinaus hier auch noch hilfreiche Empfehlungen entdecken...

@apps I was having big problems ~ 3 months ago with the push notifications (Google play stock version). So I switched to "notifications every 15 mins" and this was working good.

But since 2 or 3 days I'm not even getting these notifications anymore.

I appreciate any help! I really would love to activate normal push notifications.

By default, #Fedilab supports pronouns. It will display them, next to screen names in timelines but also when replying to a person.
For that, Fedilab uses fields (from profiles) and accepts different keys depending on your language.#FedilabTips

PS: Don't hesitate to share with us new keys for pronouns in your language.

#Fedilab is now ready for the new #Mastodon quote feature.
We opened an issue so accounts can manage the default policy for quotes in their profile and Mastodon devs already added it.

In this process, our main issue was to keep the compatibility of the quote feature that was previously implemented for others software (as they work differently - no policy). Fedilab will be able to detect and support both of them.
