It did involve a purchase of reservations for the TGV to Marseille, but at least we're on our way.

The connection from Marseille isn't convenient, but we'll get there in the end!

I slept better last night in this hotel bed than I have anywhere else in weeks!

Lyon seems like a lovely city - we cheated and eat at Five Guys yesterday evening.
We sat outside with our burgers and watched the evening crowds along the main street. An amazing, inclusive, all ages, diverse stream of promenading people in the warmth of the dying day.

I'm hoping to get out fairly promptly and go up the funicular before getting a lunchtime train. The weather looks promising, but there is deep, heavy breathing coming from the bed next to mine still!

I think we need to come back to Lyon and linger longer.
