Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg aber ließ Dombaumeister Willy Weyres vieler dieser Fenster im Depot, weil er ihre „brutale Farbigkeit“ nicht mochte und im Dom unpassend fand. Erst Arnold Wolff hat die Fenster der <a href="https://social.cologne/tags/Neogotik" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Neogotik</a> vollständig wieder herstellen lassen.
