Practicing drawing beards and bodyhair with Björn the Fel-Handed (not with claw).
Beards are such a menace to draw, because they are adding a whole other volume to the face structure. Obscuring the bones and muscles and just being there. Hair is okay, so why are beards so much harder for me?
Maybe because I need mouth and jawline to communicate expression.
"Use TMM" they said, "it's faster"... 
Disclaimer: not that it's any amazing job, but I wanted to try this palette share from Brushrage 
Also, I did it in two shots and forgot to track the second, so it took me something between 1 and 2 hours (including that I had to paint it black after the airbrushed red and before applying the TMM). I believe that's about the time I would've needed for NMM. Maybe slightly shorter? but comparable in any case.

More work on the hellbrute as well as some 3D modelling. Using houdini and a lot of youtube I am making something for interestingly shaped tiles on 3D printed bases. Procedural tesselation is fun!
