Some personal news. My youngest son has received his GCSE results: six As and six A*’s. He’s now looking forward to studying psychology, chemistry and maths for his A Levels.
My son has also written a poem, the Starman’s response to David Bowie’s song of the same name. I hope to share that poem with you when it’s published in October.

16 passed everything and is off to sixth form! Hooray!
#ClimateDiary Huge sad outburst by 12yo (in Y7) just now about how boring school is. Day after day the same things, double maths, double English, all hammered in for #GCSEs in *4* years. Would love to hear from any #UK #Teachers or teenage parents on here: Is the English National curriculum really just incredibly boring?

Wondering how many adults would cope with studying 10 subjects at once, sometimes 6 in one day. And remembering everything for mock exams in every subject within a single week. No wonder our teenagers are struggling. #GCSEs #TeenageMentalHealth
