Today in #Satisfactory I set up a Pure Copper Ingot refinery and added Wire, Cable, and Copper Sheets to my dimensional depot.

The tower has reached the high altitude of the Red Bamboo Plains and offers some great views of Snake Tree Forest and the Green Fields.

The first Bauxite mine has been built and power has been run to it and the tower. I’m going to set up Aluminum production in the bottom of my abyss pit next to the Space Elevator. It took over 570 Encased Concrete Beams to build one conveyor lift from the top to the bottom!

I’ll have to source some water for the Aluminum smelters. There is a creek running into a waterfall in the abyss pit and I know I can fit one water extractor at the top of the waterfall so I plan to use that. It won’t provide enough for the planned factory, but it’ll let me get a trickle of aluminium going so I can unlock the pressure pump things. Having the water extractor at the top of the waterfall will give free water pressure for the system too, so I won’t need pumps for any of it.

Still no screenshots of the tower yet. Don’t worry, you’re not missing much. It’s mostly shrouded in abyss fog.

64 hours into Satisfactory and I'm just now starting to use buildings. What was about 72 by 48 meters but flat is now 48 by 24 meters but vertical, about 40-50 meters high.

Copper miner on the first floor, split out into five smelters above on the second floor, then that splits out into four constructors on the third floor - one copper sheets, two wire, and one wire feeds into a cable. Then it all gets conveyed back down to the first floor where it spits out into some big storage containers just outside the building.

This game is ruining my life.

Today in #Satisfactory I built a floor in an abyss in the Snake Tree Forest under the Red Bamboo Fields. I moved the Space Elevator in there so that it sits as low as I can get it without being out of bounds. Then I built a tower around it with catwalk stairs and elevators all the way up. This will give me a path to get bauxite and begin Aluminum production.

Here’s an almost completely unrelated screenshot of my battery silo in the Green Fields. You can see the Space Elevator in its pit in the background.

Today in #Satisfactory there were tweaks to be made to the diluted fuel factory, including the addition of six more water extractors because I didn’t do my original math right. Thankfully I didn’t have to tear down my original semicircle and was able to wedge the new buildings into the existing structure.

With power taken care of I returned to my starter base - which is far from a picture of efficiency - and began finishing off my more permanent structures in the green fields.

I finished the roof on the battery bank, a circular building in the centre of the green fields that resembles a giant silo. I finished the roof on my other circular building that houses the coal generators. That one kind of resembles that UFO that Apple lives in.

I think my next project will be to set up dedicated facilities for the basic copper items now that power is sorted. I could build a quick and dirty aluminium refinery to rush the next unlocks, but I’d rather build it properly from the start, so I should now go and get those basic items automated first.

It’s all very chill and satisfying so far.

Today in #Satisfactory I decided it was time to go exploring. I had set up a quick and dirty oil line to make some fuel, rubber, and plastic. I’ve finished all the milestones of Tier 5 & 6 and wanted to find some Hard Drives for those sweet, sweet alternate recipes.

I picked up some Somersloops and Mercer Spheres while searching. ADA is being a bit weird. Weirder than usual.

Made it all the way to the desert and on the way back I got an awesome view over the power plant with the space elevator in the background.

I managed to get about 20 hard drives and they’re now slowly being scanned in the MAM.

I also bought a coffee cup from the Ficsit Shop.

I attempted to sit at my computer desk for a while. No major hiccups, but I get the feeling I shouldn't linger.

I got copper sheets automated in #Satisfactory, with next goals being automating rotors and modular frames.

I could rush over to steel and quartz, but probably best to get the back infrastructure ready first.

Oh well, that's a later thing.

Today in #Satisfactory I worked on the power plant and got all the generators placed. There’s still some water issues keeping it from running at full capacity, but it’s working well enough for now. I also did some exploring for crash sites with my new jetpack and collected some hard drives. Oil processing is now unlocked so getting rubber and plastic production is the next goal.

Fortgeführter Thread

I decided to take a break and leave it and come back later when it was all nice, but then came back later and it was still all spiky, and oh no I forgot to power the middle of the three water extractors oh no, now I have to quick build a temp fourth one to saturate the reservoir

staring at the power graph on the first 8 newly constructed coal powered generators and the light and dark gray lines are all wiggly, poking me in the anxiety that the lines should be straight, and I say to myself "it's only until the manifold saturates then it'll be fine" but until then it's not fine and I have to stare at it

*yawn

What a lovely sleep in.

LNP are calling Labor incompetent.

LNP go on to prove that they are far more incompetent.

People are still going to vote for them.

Almost expecting Trumps to ban movies depicting Americans attacking Nazis.

*sigh

I’m going to play #Satisfactory for a bit of escape. I’ve just unlocked Tier 3. Time to build a jetpack!

I’ll post some screenshots later.
