Bon ben perso j’suis pas convaincu par 12train hein. Déjà quand je veux revenir en arrière sur mobile ça réinitialise ma recherche je dois TOUT ressaisir.

Pas pratique pour tester différents horaires. Une option trajets précédent / suivants â la trainline serait un vrai +

Tu valides l’aller. Tu veux teste un autre horaire de retour ? Retour à 0. Ressaisie complète…

Après 5 ressaisies différentes pour enfin avoir l’aller et le retour idéaux, passage au paiement… Tout roule sauf qu’après avoir validé sur mon app, la page ne charge pas. Page blanche. Refresh, erreur. Aucune idée si mon paiement a été débité et ma commande enregistrée…

Je REcommence, dans le doute, et là… Ça mouline en boucle au passage paiement. Après valid dans mon app.

Donc heu la potentiellement j’ai payé 2x mes billets sans en voir la couleur ?

I used to like #Trainline, but it seems they have become enshittified:

  • you can't book a full journey in one go if it includes Eurostar - have to book the parts separately, so what's the point?
  • they add a booking fee to each booking (so, booking several parts, see above, comes with a fee each time)
  • no useful way to contact them: it's either whatsapp, "X" or a paid phone number
  • they add a huge fee if you exchange a ticket: £20 per trip, even if the new ticket is cheaper than the old one! Edit: if it's a return trip that goes up to £40!
  • website is overly complicated.

So, I will stop using them and will go back to using local train operators. 🤷

@vanecx @jon It’s easy to nit-pick the flaws of those services like pricing inconsistencies. I have actually quit taking the train because #Raileurope joined Cloudflare’s exclusive walled garden and #Trainline now directly blocks Tor users with a 403. Although they are private companies, collectively they are gatekeepers to a public service.

Not impressed with the lack of integration between #Trainline and #iryo so far. On Iryo's website I can reserve food and snacks for the trip, on Trainline, I can only do that in the Singular Bistró class. On the Iryo website I could reserve my seat as an option, not on Trainline.

I decided to go for Trainline, as I support their difficult aim of enabling Europe-wide ticketing. I was hoping I could use Apple Wallet tickets, or maybe import the booking into the Iryo app and maybe manage extras, the way you can do with airlines, but neither seem to be options, despite Trainline normally coping with Apple Wallet.

I'm placing the blame squarely on Iryo, tbh, but it's still a frustrating start to the journey.
