@mirlo @RobertaFidora Ah, so i went through all available info on 's site and it's clear that the entire platform exists for the sole purpose of making money.

It doesn't seem possible to add a release there for free download, there's unlimited codes for free downloads that can be generated and given out, but free downloads on an artist page aren't a thing like they are on , , , , , ...

One of the main reasons I like to publish my music on my own .

Soundcloud, where I have the most listeners, straight up denied monetization of my content. Spotify is a good second for me, but unless you are a big artist and reach a certain threshold they don't pay out (I have not seen any pay from Spotify ever).

If I am not receiving any money I might as well host the music myself and have full control and deny those platforms making money off of my content.

Do y'all do #MusicWomenWednesday here on the Wafrns? I feel like it's mostly a Mastodon thing, not even Bluesky, but I really don't need an excuse to talk about my favorite lady musicians…

1) Jennifer Rannells - "Distance"
I discovered & fell in love with this album (released in 2002) as a young teen back when you could still discover music on CDBaby by searching for "influences" and "sounds like" and such (the same feature I miss from MySpace!) and it's really one of my most enduring best-loved albums. I just adore the flowing, intricate piano and her lyrics are insidiously evocative and her voice is enchanting.
