If you're using an ultra-wide angle lens and there's nothing interesting in the foreground at the beach, try slowing down your shutter speed (you may need an ND filter). This will allow you to capture the movement of the water, creating a dynamic and engaging foreground. Point Ronald, Victoria, Australia.

20/04/2025 - An afternoon walk that was so nice we didn't get back until after the sun set. The weather at the coast was lovely today. Not too warm, not too cold, a nice breeze and plenty of sunshine. Not too busy either. Lots of wonderful wild flowers and birds to see. We took tea with us as I guessed we wouldn't want to rush.

View out to sea over rocks from where we were sitting. A fine spot to have our butties and a brew.
A dark tussock caterpillar on a stick. There were a few of these about today. It's quite hairy.
First thrift of the year for us. The pink flowers at the seaside are a favourite.
View down to a big bay surrounded by cliffs. It has a small beach. The tide is coming in. The light is nice from the evening sun. There were lots of seals in the water.

Wise words as sticking to old behaviours is easy but exploring the beauties of the life outside (currently in 🇩🇰) is simply wonderful. Expanding one's horizon with the new, learning new stuff and cultures is something that life prepares for us - we just need to open the windows and step outside!
