"I don't bend on my integrity. EVER."

Watch me do something here - that no politician dares to do - OWN my own fuck up without being asked to because that is another part of full personal #integrity.

I want to say that I was a bit dishonest here, in my linked post. I actually DID bend my integrity, in my 20s, as a naive young adult, who once believed that if I voted in every election & volunteered as non-partisan & concerned citizen - things would change for the better when I got much older & we could provide glorious hope for future generations. In the past 35 years, with both BC Liberals & BC NDP in power in BC - any hopes I had prior were killed - by both those equally corrupted, equally disloyal to public, equally OK with backroom corporate lobbyists shady biz & equally lacking of public transparency. Both are heavy colonizers who are perfectly OK using sleazy divide to conquer tactics on Indigenous peoples. Both kneel down to eat at ecocidal troughs, like the greedy political pigs they are.

More & more people become #anarchists because we are done with multiple swinging doors, lying governments, who feed themselves from the same corrupted troughs!

I have too much solid integrity to buy into political PR BULLSHITERY.

beige.partyMs. Que Banh (@PhoenixSerenity@beige.party)@chris@socialbc.ca @josie_osborne@mstdn.ca FYI - I knew many BC NDP politicians before & that's why I loathe them now. They became total sellouts. Even the ones I supported for over a decade & was the person they asked for photos from! You assume I just hate politicians without knowing any & that is incorrect. I knew too many & saw too much ugliness. I also want to remind you that I refused to shake former casino lobbyist & most corrupted dead BC NDP guy, John Horgan's hand & refused to be in 3 PR photos with him - including one at past BC Government House event. I don't bend on my integrity. EVER.

#TruthBeforeReconcilliation #ColonizersLieAndSteal

#Bill14 & #Bill15 are #undemocratic bills that #BCNDP is shoving through. This #BCgovernment, under greasy #JohnHorgan groomed super sellout, former civil liberties lawyer guy, #DavidEby - is breaking its own law under the Declaration of the Rights of #IndigenousPeoples.

This type of #neoliberalism is right in line with #BillC5 from #GovernmentOfCanada under #MarkCarney federal Liberals(Conservatives, basically). They take actions which are against the publics' interests. They serve corporations over people & environment. They are always greenwashing & whitewashing, while helping with ecocidal corporate plundering & endangering our liveable futures.

These corrupted, corporate lobbyist pandering governments don't really give a damn about #IndigenousCommunities - they still want to exploit lands & steal resources without prior consultation or consent.

*One of my fierce sisters from another mister & fellow land/forest/water protectors, Jocey Alec & her family from #Wetsuweten #FirstNation are in this #documentary.

The #BCNDP & #GovernmentOfCanada are both still trying to criminalize environmental & #IndigenousSovereignty activism. The #BCgovernment created #RCMPCIRG in 2017 to crackdown on protestors. They are strictly a corporate mercenaries branch serving industry interests not public interests. Citizens tax monies are being exploited by BC NDP to pay these militarized thugs to commit violence so #ecocide corporations can profit more.*

Is #Canada at a point of no return, suffering the effects of #ClimateChange and worsening #wildfire seasons? Two controversial pipelines, the #TransMountain Expansion Project #TMX and #CoastalGasLink #CGL are being expanded and threatening the natural home of historically oppressed First Nations in Canada. But several First Nations are leading the fight against these massive #pipelines and becoming key advocates for protecting #nature from climate change.

Being a #LandDefender comes at a cost: harassment, detentions by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
#RCMP and threats from private security. But, in the face of setbacks, these #Indigenous #activists press on: “We are still fighting. This dance is not over yet.” In this episode, we hear the stories of the #IndigenousCommunities on the receiving end of these huge pipelines and their fight for the protection of both humans and nature.

"Every single empire in its official discourse has said that it is not like all the others, that its circumstances are special, that it has a mission to enlighten, civilize, bring order and democracy, and that it uses force only as a last resort. And, sadder still, there always is a chorus of willing intellectuals to say calming words about benign or altruistic empires, as if one shouldn't trust the evidence of one's eyes watching the destruction and the misery and death brought by the latest mission civilizatrice."

this one also doesn't seem to have a trailer, but the topic looks great.. of professional as well as personal interest in this case.

Vancouver International Film FestivalHow to Build a Library | VIFF 2025Can a library be decolonized? How to Build a Library follows two visionary women on a quest to restore Nairobi's McMillan Memorial Library and exorcise its colonial ghosts. A powerful documentary on archives, access, and reclaiming civic space.

"What was atrocious was the fact that, like every other building in the new towns, they were dumped almost at random; the leakage of escaping gas scented the so-called gas-house districts, and not surprisingly these districts frequently became among the most degraded sections of the city. Towering above the town, polluting its air, the gas tanks symbolized the dominance of 'practical' interests over life-needs."

Towards #Solarpunk Futures

by BrightFlame, Jan 20, 2022

"Solarpunk is a prefigurative, utopian artistic and activist movement that envisions what the future might look like if humanity solved major modern challenges like #ClimateChange, and created more #sustainable and balanced societies. As a genre and cultural aesthetic, it encompasses literature, visual art, fashion, video games, architecture, and more. Solarpunk carries many aspects of punk ideologies such as rebelliousness, #humanitarianism, #egalitarianism, animal rights, #decolonization, #AntiRacism, #AntiSexism, anti-#authoritarianism, anti-#corporatism, and anti-#consumerism. Similar to the cyberpunk genre, the big difference between the two is that in solarpunk technology and nature are in harmony with one another rather than in conflict."
