Speaking of never being able to afford a house on the #IsleOfMan, @tmmj, I spotted this earlier on a seafront building site.
Well said.

#WyrdWednesday #LegendaryWednesday: The #Fynnodderee is a #Manx folkloric figure. `The `hairy one` of the #IsleOfMan loved human women – so much so that he was evicted from the #Otherworld for missing too many #Fairy dances while pursuing non-fairy maidens. He roamed about, neither of this world nor the other, unable to settle down or to cut his long shaggy hair.`

Continuing to share favourite images from my 30+ year photographic career, this is the summit of South Barrule on the Isle of Man. Not posed, and grabbed very quickly with a Mamiya 7, it became a good earner via IoM Tourism.

A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the #IsleofMan and #Liverpool City Region aims to strengthen #economic, cultural, and political ties. The agreement focuses on areas such as business, #tourism, #transport, #health, #energy, and public services. The regions share a long history, enhanced by the opening of a new Isle of Man #ferry terminal in Liverpool, which generated £3.2m for the local economy. This MoU is seen as a significant step towards fostering growth and development through increased collaboration. Both Mayor Steve Rotheram and Isle of Man Chief Minister Alfred Cannan highlighted the importance of closer economic ties and mutual benefits. The agreement also includes an annual conference, alternating between the two regions, and will be reviewed regularly to expand cooperation. With strong business links, including £2bn of annual trade, the partnership aims to open new opportunities for innovation, investment, and community development.

The Department of Infrastructure is engaging on a project to implement 20mph speed limits in residential areas across the #IsleofMan, following a #Tynwald commitment in 2023. The initiative aims to improve quality of life and create safer, more inclusive streets. No new traffic calming measures will be introduced; instead, the focus will be on new signage, raising awareness, and encouraging behaviour change. Schools will see updated signs and flashing lights to remind drivers to take extra care. Public responses are due by Friday 21 March.

Mooragh Park, early on a sunny almost-warm spring morning. So calm, quiet and soothing.
A view containing the huge boating-lake, the outdoor concert pavillion, the bowling green, the lakeside restaurant. Beyond the park is our house, the masts of the small yachts in Ramsey harbour, the Albert Tower, all overlooked by the bulk and summit of North Barrule (1,842 feet), with distant cars making their way up the Mountain Road to Douglas.
