• Das ist auch kein neues Problem: Diese #Korrosionsstrategie gegen das #Grundgesetz wurde jeweils 1968, 1972 und 2001 massiv beschleunigt und solange die #Lügen die als Begründung dienen (sei es #Terrorismus, #Kiminalitätsbekämpfung oder #Jugendschutz) nicht öffentlich durch die Mehrheit lautstark verworfen und als solche benannt werden, sowie jene #Lügner nicht #rechtsstaatlich zur #Verantwortung gezogen werden, wird der #Dauerangriff gegen das #Grundgesetz weiter gehen!

Hinzu kommt natürlich unter #BlackRot (wie kaum einer Regierung zuvor) dass Menschen in existentielle Ängste und Nöte getrieben werden um diese mittels #Angst gefügig zu halten.

• #Merz & Co. können zwar nicht den #Lohnarbeitern den Mund verbieten, diese aber qua #Präkariat konsequent auslaugen und soweit fertig machen bis jenes "#Stimmvieh" resigniert und nur noch #Letztwähler*innen wählen gehen!

• #Germany does argue with children having a #RightToEducation and 'not being able to consent' having that taken away from them, with the only groups whining about it internationally being affiliated with #Christofacists that don't want their children to be taught things they dislike.

Given the fact that Germany does demand private schools to meet if not exceed the standards in education quality, training and pay of public schools and having school exams standardized on a per-state level the core idea is sound.

• My main problem is that the system is severely neglected, ableist, discriminatory and needs more investment and positive changes.

But back to my criticism: There's no valid excuse to not teach proper #TechLiteracy:

• I don't expect people to build their own distro, but I literally met someone who graduated 6 years after (2019 ) me (2013) highschool and that person didn't even know how to use a mouse or keyboard (I wish I was joking) and this person wasn't someone who barely got through exams, but one deemed eligible for university and starting a traineeship in an administrative / "white collar" role...

I internally "blue-screened" for a minute because onlike some professor emeritus or someone else [close to] retirement age there was no reason this person didn't knew tech, espechally since they weren't from like an impoverished household and barely made it into school as refugee...

It is a good tool because it allows for self-custody of keys.

• Also by that notion manually setting up an eMail account is also complicated for anything that Thunderbird can't autoguess or doesn't have in it's database.

Shure that isn't an excuse for #Thunderbird to not deliver sane defaults and handhold users asking them at account creation/import if they want to create/import a keypair and/or wish to automatically activate it.

• Same with pulic keys: #Enigmail used to have the nice feature to automagically attach the Pubkey to every eMail and to automatically sign and encrypt them. In fact I have this preconfigured to the point that any non-encrypted eMail requires me to manually confirm stuff.

I don't "belittle people for not knowing how to use gpg" but instead acknowledge the lack of #TechLiteracy as a matter of facts because most people got groomed into being consoomers and into ignorant users.

• It's not their fault, it's decades of failed education and awareness that now demand compound interest like credit card debt.
